Of course, pizza is best served right out of the oven. Use your pizza peel to slide your pizza onto a safe cutting surface. Let it sit for a full minute, or even two. Why? Well, if you cut it immediately, the cheese and toppings can start to slide off the individual pieces, since it is still so hot. Don’t worry, though. This setting time allows the pizza to cool to a suitable eating temperature as well. You can’t eat pizza straight out of the oven, as it is too hot and would burn your mouth. But after setting for several minutes, it is absolutely perfect!

To cut your pizza, you can use either a pizza cutter or a pizza knife. A pizza cutter is a wheeled cutting blade with a handle and a pizza knife is a two handles curved knife. Which you choose is a matter of personal preference, as both will get the job done as quickly as possible with great results.

If you’ve made individual pizzas, slice them and then slide them onto large plates, one for each person. It is a great experience to have your own pizza all to yourself.

How to Reheat Leftover Pizza

But if you have any leftover slices, wrap them well, place in a zip-top bag, or put in an airtight container, and then place them in the refrigerator. Some people love cold pizza, and it sure is easier to eat in the car on the way to work in the morning. But most times you’ll probably want to have your leftover pizza warm. What is the best way to reheat pizza? Well, heat your oven to about 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the slices on a pizza or sheet pan and place in the oven until the cheese begins to melt. You can also reheat your pizza on your pizza stone. This will certainly not taste as good as a freshly baked pizza, but it is adequate to use up whatever is left of your pizza. If you must, you can also reheat your pizza in the microwave, but this sure does change the texture of the pizza, rendering the crust soft and rubbery. There is no doubt that it is quick, though, and is the easiest method of reheating pizza.
